LOYALTY T&C

  • These terms and conditions, and the Country Providore Privacy Policy apply to the Loyalty Program, and any promotional activity and member transactions relating to the Loyalty Program. By registering for and participating in the Loyalty Program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Sign Up to the Loyalty Program

  • You can sign up to the Loyalty Program online at the following website: www.thecountryprovidore.co.nz (the “Website”) or any other sign-up method authorized by The Country Providore. You will be automatically enrolled in the Loyalty Program when you create a customer account.
  • You must notify us if your email address or any other personal details provided as part of sign-up changes. The Country Providore is not responsible for any loss of Loyalty Program benefits arising from you not notifying us of any change in personal details.
  • Limit of one (1) Loyalty Program account (“Account”) per person and per email address.
  • The Country Providore staff are not eligible to join the Loyalty Program.
  • Loyalty Program Points balance and rewards are not transferrable, cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be shared with anyone else.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Loyalty Program.
  • The Loyalty Program is only available to The Country Providore customers in New Zealand.

Member Communications and Personal Data

  1. When you join the Loyalty Program, you agree to receive email communications from The Country Providore for the purposes of:
    1. providing you with marketing, product and special offer information; and
    2. notifying you of matters relevant to your Loyalty Program membership, including Loyalty Program Rewards Points (“Points”) and rewards expiry.

You can opt-out of receiving these emails at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any Makeup Cartel’s email or updating your preferences.

  1. By joining the Loyalty Program you agree to let us collect, use and disclose your data (including personal information) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and these terms and conditions.

Earning Loyalty Program Rewards Points

  1. You can earn Points by making an eligible purchase, sharing on social and/or leaving an eligible review on the conditions set out below:
  2. Eligible Purchases: Earn one (1) Point for every dollar (rounded down to the nearest dollar) you spend on The Country Providore products, both online and at The Country Providore retail store:
    1. Online Purchases: Simply shop on our online store and your Points will be automatically added to your Account 14 days after the date of purchase. You must be signed into your Account when you make a purchase for Points to be accrued;
    2. Retail Store Purchases: To use your Points at our retail store simply provide the same contact details as listed against your Loyalty Program account when you are completing your purchase and points will automatically be added to your account 14 days after the date of purchase.
    3. Points are calculated on your actual spend, excluding shipping costs, and excluding the value of any discounts, refunds or returns.
    4. Points are earnt on the purchase of gift vouchers and gift cards. Points are not earnt on purchases made using gift vouchers and gift cards.
    5. From time to time certain promotions, including site wide promotions, will exclude the use of Loyalty Points due to already discounted prices.
  3. Points will be accrued at the following rate:
    1. Spend: 1 Point = $1 NZD spent on products purchased in New Zealand.
    2. Follow: Earn twenty (20) Loyalty Program Rewards points when you follow The Country Providore on Facebook & Instagram. In order to receive the Loyalty Program Points you must click through to Facebook and/or Instagram from your Loyalty Program Account and follow The Country Providore;
    3. Review: Earn twenty (20) Points when you leave an product review. Points will not be earnt for product reviews that are deemed by us not to be genuine.  You must be signed into your Account before placing the review and your review.      Reviews that contain obscene, offensive, or other language and/or images communicating messages inconsistent with the positive images with which The Country Providore wishes to associate itself (as determined by The Country Providore in its sole discretion) will be void and disqualified.  Each review should reflect your honest and truthful opinions and actual experiences. You should be sure to have used the products, and done so consistent with stated instructions.  Points will be awarded for Eligible Product Reviews that meet the above conditions regardless of whether the review is positive or negative.  Maximum of three (3) reviews per person, per email address, per month.

  1. Examples of the award of Points for purchases where a discount/gift voucher applies, are outlined below:
    1. If you purchase a product which is $100 and receive a 30% discount on the purchase (total spend $70), you will receive seventy (70) Points.
    2. If you purchase a $50 gift voucher you will receive fifty (50) Points.
    3. If you purchase a product which is $100, and use a $10 gift voucher on the purchase (total spend $90), you will receive ninety (90)
  2. Points will be awarded 14 days after the date of purchase.
  3. We may deduct from your Account any Points:
    1. credited to your Account as a result of an error;
    2. relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
    3. relating to any suspected fraudulent activity (i.e., buying bulk products and then returning these after points have been allocated); or
    4. relating to an order that Makeup Cartel reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.

Redeeming Loyalty Program Points

  1. You can redeem your Points either as a dollar amount discounted from your purchase
  1. Points will expire 12 months after they are earned. This means that if you have unused points 12 months after you earned them, those Points will be deducted from your Points balance. For example: If you spend $50 on 1 March of the first year, you will earn 50 Points. These Points will expire at the end of February of the second year.
  2. We will notify you using the email address linked to your Account approximately one (1) month before any of your Points are due to expire, if you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications. 

Loyalty Program Membership Tiers

  1. At the end of each Membership Year, your points balance will be reset to zero and your membership level (“Membership Tier”) for the next Membership Year will be determined based on your spend with The Country Providore during the previous Membership Year.
  2. You will remain in that Membership Tier until the end of your next Membership Year.  You may remain on the same Membership Tier or move up or down a Tier depending on your annual spend for the relevant Membership Year.
  3. Your Loyalty Program Membership year starts from

the date you joined the Loyalty Program; or

  1. the date you last changed or maintained your Membership Tier (whichever date is later). Your Loyalty Program Membership year runs for 12 months. (a “Membership Year”).
  2. The benefits that members of each Membership Tier are eligible to receive, are published on the Website. These benefits may change, however, if we reduce the benefits that apply to the Membership Tier you are in, we will let you know by sending an email to the email address linked to your Account, if you have not opted out of loyalty communications.
  3. The required annual spend to qualify for each Tier and minimum and maximum redemption amounts for each Tier are set out in the table below:

  1. You can accumulate Membership Tier spend by making a purchase:
    1. Online Purchases: Simply shop on our online store and your Membership Tier spend will be automatically added to your Account once the order is shipped. Must be signed into your Account for Membership Tier spend to be accrued.
    2. Retail Store Purchases: Simply provide the same contact details as listed against your Loyalty Program Account when you are completing your purchase and spend will automatically be accrued to your account. Spend excludes shipping costs and Points are calculated on your actual spend after any discounts, gift vouchers/gift cards.
  2. We may deduct from your Loyalty Program Membership Tier spend balance any amounts:
    1. credited to your Account as a result of an error;
    2. relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
    3. relating to any suspected fraudulent activity (i.e., buying bulk products and then returning these after points have been allocated); or
    4. relating to an order that Makeup Cartel reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.
  3. Your Loyalty Program Membership may be terminated or suspended if we reasonably suspect that you have:
    1. breached these terms and conditions; or
    2. engaged in or may engage in fraudulent conduct, or conduct that is reasonably suspected to be fraudulent, in relation to your Loyalty Program Account (i.e., buying bulk products and then returning these after points have been allocated); or
    3. engaged in inappropriate conduct that undermines the legitimate interests of The Country Providore.

 

General

  1. You may terminate your Loyalty Program membership at any time by contacting The Country Providore customer service.
  2. If your Loyalty Program Rewards membership is terminated (by you or us), all outstanding Points and any Points you have accrued will no longer be valid and will be rendered null and void.
  3. We may cancel or suspend the Loyalty Program or change these terms and conditions at any time. If we do, we may or may not notify you, depending on the change we make. An up-to-date copy of our terms can be found on our website www.thecountryprovidore.co.nz
  4. These terms and conditions do not limit your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Law. If you are a consumer under the New Zealand Consumer Law, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under law.
  5. You must comply with all applicable laws, codes and regulations including any advertising codes requiring that you disclose when a post or review is incentivized and that the post is prominently labelled with #AD in a place which is obvious to viewers.
  6. You agree to:
    1. not make any false statement relating to The Country Providore in public or online (including on social media), to the press or elsewhere;
    2. remove any violative or improper posts over which you have control at the request of The Country Providore as soon as practicably possible.
  7. The Country Providore decisions with respect to all aspects of the Loyalty Program are final and binding on all Member’s without right of appeal. Any attempt by any Member to obtain more than the stated number of Points by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that Member’s Points.
  8. Use of any automated system or service to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the Member.
  9. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
  10. Any automated computer receipt or statement of account does not constitute proof of actual number of Points. The Country Providore reserves the right to withdraw, amend or suspend the Loyalty Program (or to amend these Terms & Conditions) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

Any attempt to deliberately damage or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Loyalty Program in any way may amount to a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, and The Country Providore reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
