Terms and Conditions – The Country Providore Loyalty Program

These terms and conditions, and the Country Providore Privacy Policy apply to the Loyalty Program, and any promotional activity and member transactions relating to the Loyalty Program. By registering for and participating in the Loyalty Program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.


1. Sign Up to the Loyalty Program

1.1 You can sign up to the Loyalty Program online at the following website: www.thecountryprovidore.co.nz (the “Website”) or any other sign-up method authorised by The Country Providore. You will be automatically enrolled in the Loyalty Program when you create a customer account.

1.2 You must notify us if your email address or any other personal details provided as part of sign-up changes. The Country Providore is not responsible for any loss of Loyalty Program benefits arising from you not notifying us of any change in personal details.

1.3 Limit of one (1) Loyalty Program account (“Account”) per person and per email address.

1.4 The Country Providore staff are not eligible to join the Loyalty Program.

1.5 Loyalty Program Points balance and rewards are not transferrable, cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be shared with anyone else.

1.6 You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Loyalty Program.

1.7 The Loyalty Program is only available to The Country Providore customers in New Zealand.


2. Member Communications and Personal Data

2.1 When you join the Loyalty Program, you agree to receive email communications from The Country Providore for the purposes of:

  • providing you with marketing, product and special offer information; and

  • notifying you of matters relevant to your Loyalty Program membership, including Loyalty Program Rewards Points (“Points”) and rewards expiry.

2.2 You can opt out of receiving these emails at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any Country Providore email or updating your preferences.

2.3 By joining the Loyalty Program, you agree to let us collect, use and disclose your data (including personal information) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and these terms and conditions.


3. Earning Loyalty Program Rewards Points

3.1 You can earn Points by making an eligible purchase, sharing on social media, and/or leaving an eligible review on the conditions set out below:

  • Eligible Purchases: Earn one (1) Point for every dollar (rounded down to the nearest dollar) you spend on The Country Providore products, both online and at The Country Providore retail store.

    • Online Purchases: Simply shop on our online store and your Points will be automatically added to your Account up to 14 days after the date of purchase. You must be signed into your Account when you make a purchase for Points to be accrued.

Retail Store Purchases: To use your Points at our retail store, simply provide the same contact details as listed against your Loyalty Program account when you are completing your purchase and Points will automatically be added to your account up to 14 days after the date of purchase.

3.2 Points are calculated on your actual spend, excluding shipping costs, and excluding the value of any discounts, refunds or returns.

3.3 Ineligible Purchases:

  • Points are not earned on purchases of gift vouchers.
  • Points can be not earnt or redeemed on sale items.

3.4 From time to time, certain promotions (including site-wide promotions) will exclude the use of Loyalty Points due to already discounted prices.

3.5 Points will be accrued at the following rate:

  • Spend: 1 Point = $1 NZD spent on products purchased in New Zealand.

  • Follow: Earn ten (10) Loyalty Program Rewards Points when you follow The Country Providore on Facebook and Instagram. In order to receive the Loyalty Program Points, you must click through to Facebook and/or Instagram from your Loyalty Program Account and follow The Country Providore.

  • Email: Earn ten (10) Points when you provide your email address and agree to receive marketing communications.

4. Examples of Points Allocation

4.1 If you purchase a product which is $100 and use a $20 loyalty voucher on the purchase (total spend $80), you will receive eighty (80) Points.

4.2 Points will be awarded up to 14 days after the date of purchase.

4.5 We may deduct from your Account any Points:

  • credited to your Account as a result of an error;

  • relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;

  • relating to any suspected fraudulent activity (e.g., buying bulk products and then returning them after Points have been allocated).


5. Redeeming Loyalty Program Points

5.1 You can redeem your Points by using your reward as a dollar amount discounted from your purchase.

5.2 Points will expire 12 months after they are earned if you have not made a purchase or redeemed a reward. For example: If you spend $50 on 1 March of the first year, you will earn 50 Points. These Points will expire at the end of February of the second year.

5.3 We will notify you using the email address linked to your Account approximately one (1) month before any of your Points are due to expire, provided you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications..

5.4 Loyalty points can't be redeemed on sale items or promotional products.


6. Combining Offers

6.1 Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers (including gift-with-purchase promotions) cannot be used in conjunction with:

  • Loyalty vouchers or rewards;

  • Other discounts or promotional codes;

  • Price-matched products or clearance items.

6.2 If a customer qualifies for more than one promotion in a single transaction, they may choose one offer to apply, whichever is of greater value.

6.3 Loyalty vouchers cannot be applied to promotional transactions where a gift with purchase or bonus item is being claimed.

6.4 The “no double-dipping” rule applies to all offers unless a promotion explicitly states it can be combined with others.


7. Membership Termination

7.1 Loyalty Program Membership may be terminated or suspended if we reasonably suspect that you have:

  • breached these terms and conditions;

  • engaged in or may engage in fraudulent conduct, or conduct reasonably suspected to be fraudulent, in relation to your Loyalty Program Account (e.g., buying bulk products and returning them after Points allocation);

  • engaged in inappropriate conduct that undermines the legitimate interests of The Country Providore.


8. General

8.1 You may terminate your Loyalty Program membership at any time by contacting The Country Providore customer service.

8.2 If your Loyalty Program Rewards membership is terminated (by you or us), all outstanding Points and any Points you have accrued will no longer be valid and will be rendered null and void.

8.3 We may cancel or suspend the Loyalty Program or change these terms and conditions at any time. An up-to-date copy of our terms can be found at www.thecountryprovidore.co.nz.

8.4 These terms and conditions do not limit your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Law.

8.7 The Country Providore’s decisions regarding all aspects of the Loyalty Program are final and binding on all Members without right of appeal.

8.8 Any attempt by any Member to obtain more than the stated number of Points by using multiple or different email addresses, identities, registrations, and logins, or any other methods, will void that Member’s Points.

8.9 Use of any automated system or service to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

8.10 In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the Member. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses.

8.11 Any automated computer receipt or statement of account does not constitute proof of actual number of Points.

8.12 The Country Providore reserves the right to withdraw, amend or suspend the Loyalty Program (or to amend these Terms & Conditions) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

8.13 Any attempt to deliberately damage or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Loyalty Program may amount to a violation of criminal and civil laws. The Country Providore reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent
