Bread & Butter Pickles

Quite possibly the oldest recipe I make. Some recipes are best left original and this is one of them. Originally named because they are simply best eaten with wholemeal bread and butter. The cucumbers and onions are  brined overnight to enhance their” crunchiness “ then heated in a delicious brine (that can later be used as the base for a homemade vinaigrette once you’ve eaten all the pickles)
